Fruitridge Community Collaborative (FRCC) is a neighborhood hub providing children and families a safe place to learn and play. FRCC is located in South Oak Park, within the Sacramento Promise Zone, one of the 22 federally recognized high poverty communities. Established at the former Fruit Ridge Elementary School, FRCC houses 23 nonprofit organizations and serves as a meeting place for dozens more. Organizations that serve diverse populations and offer a wide-range of critical support programs that address health and economic disparities. The collective of tenant organizations work to reduce health disparities across a broad range of community issue areas for children, adult-age youth and seniors, addressing environmental and social determinants of health, youth development and juvenile justice, arts and culture, access to health services, education, and employment.
